No stranger to this area, Linward C. Edwards II graduated from Wilson High School in 1995. Mr. Edwards then served his country in The United States Air Force for four years before returning home and attending Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Business in 2004. Mr. Edwards then attended the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law in Washington, D.C. and earned his Juris Doctor in 2010. While in law school, Mr. Edwards clerked for the Public Defender’s Office of the District of Columbia and he was a summer Judicial Clerk for the Fourth Circuit Federal Judge the Honorable Margaret Seymour.
While at the court he learned the inner workings of the criminal justice system. From initial arrest to sentencing, he has worked first-hand with criminal defendants, prosecutors, and judges throughout the entire process. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Edwards accepted a position at The Sellers Law Firm located in Dillon, South Carolina. He learned the dynamics of how to run a law practice first-hand under the tutelage of supervising attorney Rosalind Sellers.
In April 2012, Edwards opened his own practice, The Law Office of Linward Edwards II, where he continues to represent clients in state and federal court cases. He practices in the areas of criminal and civil law, including bankruptcy, business law, criminal defense, DWI/DUI, personal injury, immigration law, estate planning, and family law.
